We all know what we should be doing, or how we should be feeling about ourselves, but often we don’t know HOW to bring those ideas and concepts into life.
In cognitive behavioral hypnotherapy (CBH), we don’t spend months talking about how your childhood experiences affect you today—you already know it. You know very well where your low self-esteem and other issues come from. We can’t change the past; what happened, happened. So let’s move on!
Of course, we acknowledge earlier experiences, but the focus is on the present moment and what you can do today to move forward. We train your nervous system, challenge your old, unhealthy beliefs and assumptions, change your behavior and automatic responses, and we create new patterns, new pathways, and new ways of going through life.
The focus is always on now and what we can do today to make change happen. You can’t reprogram yourself or create new neural connections and pathways by focusing on the past. Unfortunately, that won’t solve your issues. The only way to move forward is why CBH is so rapid and effective: we focus on the here and now, providing solutions rather than excuses that keep you in a victim mentality.
CBT & Hypnotherapy can be considered the two methods of treatment most supported by clinical research on psychological therapy for a range of challenges, including stress, phobias, habits, and self-esteem issues.
Research indicates that Cognitive Behavior Hypnotherapy is highly effective, with some studies showing success rates comparable to or even exceeding traditional CBT. For instance, the success rates for anxiety treatment with hypnotherapy range from 70% to 90%, particularly when paired with cognitive strategies.
Why? CBT focuses on identifying and reframing unhelpful thoughts, while hypnosis taps into the subconscious mind to deepen those changes, creating stronger emotional connections and habits. For example, if you often feel anxious before a presentation, your brain creates an emotional connection between presenting and feeling nervous.
Hypnosis can help change this by encouraging new, positive emotional responses, so you feel calm instead of anxious. This can lead to healthier emotional habits and reactions over time.
In fact, research shows that the hypnotic state enhances neuroplasticity, allowing the brain to rewire itself more effectively.
How fascinating is that?
Pairing CBT with hypnosis creates a synergistic effect, making it easier to replace limiting beliefs, break unwanted patterns, and achieve goals with greater speed and resilience. It’s an innovative blend of science and practice for profound and lasting transformation.
Whether you’re aiming to overcome stress, conquer fears, improve self esteem, or achieve personal breakthroughs, this integrated approach accelerates results.

Experiencing fear and anxiety? Phobias or panic attacks? Social anxiety?
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy works by tapping into the subconscious mind, where your fears and anxieties are often deeply rooted.
Through hypnosis, you're able to access and reframe those fears, turning them into more manageable and even empowering thoughts.
This process isn't just about talking through your fears—it's about rewiring your mind to respond to triggers in healthier ways.
CBH teaches you how to self-regulate and foster a more positive, calm state of mind, resulting in greater self-esteem and resilience to life’s challenges.
This evidence-based approach provides a deeper, more permanent transformation compared to traditional methods.
Research supports the effectiveness of CBH, with success rates of 70-90%, proving it to be a viable, lasting solution for those struggling with anxiety.
This isn't just a temporary fix; it's a transformation that allows you to live without being controlled by fear and anxiety.
Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy for weight management is a Solution Focused approach that isn’t about diets or exercise.
In fact, 95% of diets fall.
It’s about breaking your patterns of behavior: your habits, and changing your thoughts related to food and body-image.
CBT Hypnotherapy has been proven affective because it addresses underlying reasons for eating behaviors, and other factors that contribute to the problem. It's about finding and fixing the root cause.
CBT has been shown to result in greater amounts of weight loss than other strategies that only focus on diet and exercise (Jacob et al., 2018), and hypnosis was found to increase the treatment benefits of CBT by some 70% (Kirsch, Montgomery, Sapirstein, 1995).
Moreover, it gives you the tools and strategies to self-regulate. We create more constructive coping strategies for stressors and emotional cues, because you need to know how to handle your triggers and situations that throw you off track if you ever want to succeed.
At the end, it is NOT about body weight, calories or food. You will be able to enjoy a new feeling of self-control and achievement.

Most people would consider having high standards a good thing but at times this is just a complex anxiety trap. Striving for excellence might indicate that you have a solid work ethic, motivation, strength and ambition. But when achieving success is consistently associated with one's value, self-worth and self-esteem, we risk falling in the trap of clinical perfectionism (Mirea, 2019).
Perfectionism has a negative long-term impact on a person’s self-esteem and confidence, and it often negatively affects our relationships with others. Additionally, control issues can create constant tension and anxiety, as you feel that everything must happen exactly as you plan, leading to unnecessary stress and exhaustion.
With CBT, you uncover the roots of perfectionism and control, learn to let go of the unnecessary need for control, and develop new, flexible approaches to problem-solving. CBT allows you to challenge unrealistic standards and perfectionistic thinking patterns, helping you embrace imperfection as part of the human experience and freeing yourself from the inner critic.
In Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy, you and I work together as a team. You are the expert in you, so we work together to help you reach your goal. In every session, we’re not just scratching the surface. We’re diving deep into the beliefs that have been holding you hostage, and together, we change them.
During our sessions I'll be modelling a style of your thinking, but the goal is for you to take my voice with you outside the sessions, and become your own therapist. The treatment usually starts with emotional regulation and then progresses modularly through other domains.
The effectiveness of the treatment depends on your motivation and willingness to work between the sessions (in the most comfortable way for you). CBH provides you with all the necessary tools and strategies, and practical solutions to create a change, instead of just talking about your issues with you "paid friend". However, it requires a high level of commitment and hard work. It isn’t some magic trick or easy fix. You need to be willing to put in the effort and actually work on yourself. But if you’re able to do this, you will benefit from the treatment, and will be able to achieve a lasting change, maybe even greater than you imagine.
With each session, we will track progress towards your goals and use different therapeutic interventions to help you on the way, and develop a plan to help you maintain and continue your progress.
While traditional CBT primarily focuses on addressing cognitive distortions and modifying behaviors through conscious awareness and rational analysis, CBH incorporates hypnotherapy techniques to access the subconscious mind and facilitate deeper, more rapid change. By combining cognitive restructuring with hypnotic suggestions, CBH can target underlying beliefs and habits more effectively.
Hypnosis in CBH involves inducing a trance-like state of deep relaxation, where the conscious mind becomes more receptive to suggestions and imagery. During hypnosis, you can access the subconscious mind, where deeply ingrained beliefs and patterns are stored, and reprogram them. We use hypnotic suggestions to challenge negative beliefs, promote positive change, and facilitate inner transformation.
